Phoneme – igh

We have been learning about the phoneme igh. We learned that igh is called a trigraph as three letters join to make one sound. We made a stormy cloud with bolts of lightning and finally we highlighted the igh phoneme in each word. Leave a comment with an igh word.

Phoneme – ew

We have had a busy few days learning our new phoneme ew. We have been busy with lots of different activities including word searches, a sound story, elkonin boxes, anagrams and using a giant phoneme maker to say/make/break/blend/read ew words. Phew!
